Dynamis - Qufim / Einherjar

Since my last post, I've really only been doing events that I can attend, which leads me to Sunday.

First, we completed, very easily, I might add, Einherjar Wing I. All that there were to fight were ghosts with the marid boss, which we have fought many many times before. I was in the black mage party so all I did was Refresh for the entire 30 minutes, which is what I'm used to, I guess, so it wasn't really too big of a deal.

Immediately after Einherjar, we gathered for Dynamis - Qufim, which is a dreamworld Dynamis that I keep missing, so I'm glad to have done it now. As usual with dreamworld Dynamis, I am the secondary RDM/DRK, which really is THE easiest role to play here. After talking with one of the members, Nariseth, and researching on FFXIclopedia, I realized that Stunning requires no specific gear other than {Dark Magic}-increasing gear, of which red mage can get very little.

We got the win extremely quickly, and before the win the red mage relic pants dropped. I unfortunately lost the roll, which wasn't the biggest heartbreak in the world, just kind of sad.

The Duelist's Tights are absolutely situational, but I certainly would wear them over the Errant Slops for for melee-soloing (which I actually have different pants for), and I am pretty sure the {Elemental Magic} +10 boost would help very much if I was sleep-nuke EXPing on Wamoura or farming Dahaks in Mount Zhaylom.

Ultimately, though, they are on my less-desired list, but would be nice to have for the sake of having, especially since Red Mage is my job, as I said last post.

Omega Ring, Dynamis - Windurst

Despite my lack of updates, I have actually been playing the game pretty frequently. I have acquired a good friend of mine's account, giving me access to a power leveler and HQ Staves, which is awesome. I will miss her, but I completely understand her leaving the game. Hell, I left for a while, too. And who knows how much I'll be able to play once I graduate college this semester.

I mostly have been doing dreamworld Dynamis and Einherjar with Immortality while fishing occasinally for gil. Otherwise, I haven't done anything else of substance... no BCNMs, very little THF-leveling/Campaign. Sure, it's 74, but I just don't see myself ever playing it. Red Mage is my job. It was my first job and it will always feel like home to me.

Though we lost Wing III again today, we still got about 2000 ampoules, which put me to about 16,000, allowing me to get my Omega Ring, finally.





We are about to begin Dynamis - Windurst, which is the Dynamis that I haven't ever done and is keeping me from Beaucedine and, consequently, Xarcabard. Granted, there's no real gear for me here, I am thrilled to be doing it, finally.

The only items I could have lotted on were THF AF2 Head and WAR AF2 Head, and I chose THF AF2. Within the last 5 minutes of farming, it dropped, and I won the lot!

Haha! So now I'm 2/6 THF AF2, while I remain 0/6 RDM AF2. Crazy, huh.

Campaign V / Terrigan FoV II

Today, I completed one more FoV in Cape Terrigan before calling it quits. Despite the fact that I'm getting 1.3k gil every time I complete one, it's definitely more arduous than just doing Campaign, so I figure I will continue to do Campaign until I run out of money to continue to buy shihei for Utsusemi: Ichi/Ni.

I did replace a piece of THF gear today, though.

There really aren't any things I'd want in its place that I know of, except maybe Homam gear, which would require that I actually have Sea access and farm a lot of points for the LS to bid on them.

Which leads me to the fact that I accidently missed Einherjar today, so that's another 1000 ampoules I failed to get, which annoys me, but I suppose it's over with so whatever.

9,500 / 42,000 EXP to Level 75 Thief

Campaign IV / Terrigan FoV

This morning, I finally hit 74 thief doing Campaign, and then I said good-bye to that crap and hopped over to Cape Terrigan to lazily do the first page over
and over and over
and over.

I am currently at 6,248 / 42,000 EXP since I get 70ish EXP per mob and 1,300 EXP per page. I have also been catching up on sleep and watching TV, though, so I haven't been playing religiously by any means. :)

Having Utsusemi: Ni makes FoV completely non-threatening. I do plan on doing some more Campaign though, to break the FoV monotony, though I must say that I am enjoying the parrying and evasion skill ups, despite how sparse they may be.

Campaign III

After a very quick Einherjar (only 10k ampoules away from a ring woooooo), I went out into the brave new world.

Already this morning, I have gotten another 6.5k EXP doing Campaigns, and now I'm only 3,500 EXP away from leveling! Sooooooooooo close. I should get it today.

I did a Garlaige Citadel campaign for the first time. It was interesting, and I got just under 2k EXP just for that one. My goal for today is at least 35k toward 74.

I managed to get a whopping 5.5k EXP doing campaign yesterday, over the course of the day.

Thief - Level 73 - 25,000/40,000

A couple more days of this and I'll hit 74, and as a consequence, I will haul my ass to Valkurm Dunes II (Cape Terrigan), and do the pages there with the ever-wonderful Utsusemi: Ni.
