Campaign V / Terrigan FoV II

Today, I completed one more FoV in Cape Terrigan before calling it quits. Despite the fact that I'm getting 1.3k gil every time I complete one, it's definitely more arduous than just doing Campaign, so I figure I will continue to do Campaign until I run out of money to continue to buy shihei for Utsusemi: Ichi/Ni.

I did replace a piece of THF gear today, though.

There really aren't any things I'd want in its place that I know of, except maybe Homam gear, which would require that I actually have Sea access and farm a lot of points for the LS to bid on them.

Which leads me to the fact that I accidently missed Einherjar today, so that's another 1000 ampoules I failed to get, which annoys me, but I suppose it's over with so whatever.

Campaign IV / Terrigan FoV

This morning, I finally hit 74 thief doing Campaign, and then I said good-bye to that crap and hopped over to Cape Terrigan to lazily do the first page over
and over and over
and over.

I am currently at 6,248 / 42,000 EXP since I get 70ish EXP per mob and 1,300 EXP per page. I have also been catching up on sleep and watching TV, though, so I haven't been playing religiously by any means. :)

Having Utsusemi: Ni makes FoV completely non-threatening. I do plan on doing some more Campaign though, to break the FoV monotony, though I must say that I am enjoying the parrying and evasion skill ups, despite how sparse they may be.

Campaign III

After a very quick Einherjar (only 10k ampoules away from a ring woooooo), I went out into the brave new world.

Already this morning, I have gotten another 6.5k EXP doing Campaigns, and now I'm only 3,500 EXP away from leveling! Sooooooooooo close. I should get it today.

Campaign II

I did a Garlaige Citadel campaign for the first time. It was interesting, and I got just under 2k EXP just for that one. My goal for today is at least 35k toward 74.

Campaign I

I managed to get a whopping 5.5k EXP doing campaign yesterday, over the course of the day.

Thief - Level 73 - 25,000/40,000

A couple more days of this and I'll hit 74, and as a consequence, I will haul my ass to Valkurm Dunes II (Cape Terrigan), and do the pages there with the ever-wonderful Utsusemi: Ni.

Endgame + Re-EXPing

Since moving back to Atlanta for my final Georgia Tech semester, I have found enough time to continue to play, and even more time to play with Immortality, the endgame Linkshell that I joined a while back.

This past week we did Dynamis - Buburimu as well as Dynamis - Jeuno, both of which I have yet to do, and as such got the win for both. That leaves Dynamis - Windurst to proceed to outland Dynamis, and I need Valkurm and Qufim to get to Dynamis - Tavnazia, which may or may not need more unlocked, but I don't think they do.

Anywho, I've yet to win any desirable AF2, but that's not my biggest concern. There are so many people seeking RDM AF2 that I don't really expect to get any of the good stuff any time soon, especially considering how little I've been doing it lately. However, if I continue with this streak, I may be in good shape.

Anywho, because of all my endgame action, my poor little RDM taru saw 74 for the first time since hitting 75 four years ago.



I panicked and nipped that in the bud in an (unfortunate) EXP party synced at level 69. After far too many hours out there, and one death, I managed to get back to 75 as well as a 16,000 EXP buffer. If 16,000 isn't enough, then whatever. I'm not doing a party again.

Instead of trying to make money or craft (Smithing/Goldsmithing are level 4 now, OMG), I am going to try to finish off my damned Thief. It's level 73.5, so I just need to suck it up and get it. I will be leisurely doing campaigns until I get it. I will not be EXPing because... well... no one wants to EXP with THFs, really. I will probably end up skilling up doing nasty duo feats with Darkcow eventually as THF+BRD combo, or THF+WHM combo, or whatever we end up doing. But regardless, it is my next goal, along with continuing to attend endgame events with Immortality.

Unfortunately, they're doing Dynamis - Xarcabard next Sunday, so I'm S.O.L. there, but I can do Einherjar on Wednesday and Sunday.

Tons Beastmaster

Darkcow and I leveled from 44 to 46 in Yhoator Jungle in about 4 hours. We charmed the worker crawlers around the tele-crystal and fought the T-IT+ Coeurls in the area--over, and over, and over, and over again.

And over, and over.

It was boring, but quick exp, so it's hard to say how I feel about it, because in the end I'm happy we went there.

Our next target will be the Labyrinth of Onzozo, charming leeches to fight against the cockatrices, scorpions, and goblins in there. Honestly, my only issue in there is that there are no fields of valor books in there, so we may have to find somewhere else just so I can have refresh/regen.

There is one camp in East Ronfaure [S] that involves exploding bombs by subbing RDM, but who knows. We'll see, I guess.

Aside from my mining escapades, which have gone quite poorly, I might add, Darkcow and I have spent quite a bit of time leveling our beastmasters.

Today, he and I reached 42 and 43, respectively. I am about half a level above him, currently, but it's not really causing us any issues at the moment.

We spent out late 30s in Eastern Altepa Desert, charming spiders and beetles and fighting beetles, dhalmels, and anticans.

After having a pretty rough time out there, because of all the sound aggro, at 40, we decided to move away from that wasteland of death and try out the outpost area of Yuhtunga Jungle, on the opposite side of Vana'diel.





We went there today, and there, we, together, gained 2 levels, doing the final page of the fields of valor in that area, as well as chaining Goblin Poachers and Robbers in our downtime near the Yhoator Jungle zone.

Afterward, before we called it quits, we took a jab at the first page of Western Altepa Desert, which is 7 desert spiders and 3 RNG Anticans in the area that are about 42, give or take a level. Doing on turn of this got me to 43, which is where we decided to call it quits. We may or may not continue for another level in this newer section of the desert, but if we do, I can assure you that we will not enjoy it.

I think I might check out the outpost area of Sanctuary of Zi'tah, instead.
